Whitcoulls was established as a publishing company 130 years ago and has been operating as a bookstore under its current name since 1973. Now there are more than 50 Whitcoulls stores throughout New Zealand.

Whitcoulls is well known for its huge range of fiction and non-fiction books in all genres, but it also sells stationery, art & craft supplies, board games, puzzles, and toys, as well as DVDs, electronic games, printing supplies, calculators, and eReaders.
