NICK HARRISON, HUNTING E FISHING NZ, CHRISTCHURCH
CHECK OUT PG 38
The Steiner Binocular HX in 10x42 magnification is a real stand-out in its price bracket, with affordable German Optics coming in at$1299 it's arguably,
the best light transmission optic in the market in this price point. Nowwith the new Makrolon housing, these binos are also tough as nails. Being able to
stand up to 11Gs of impact, HX binoculars are perfect for any backcountry hunting scenario where things might start to get rough. Steiner are a global
leader in Military and Law Enforcement around the world, and the same technology and ruggedness are used in their hunting binos, providing a robust
hunting companion for the harsh Kiwi environment.
The HX 10x42s are nitrogen filled using a patented technique by Steiner, where air is removed via the 2 valves on
top, then nitrogen is pressurised inside the bino. This is the only method guaranteed to give a 100% seal and
reliability removing the fogging inside the lenses. The upgraded nano coating on the lenses creates
a crisp, clear image, and allows better flow of water and other elements that might interfere
with clear view.
For a limited time, HX 10x42s purchased at Hunting & Fishing New
Zealand come with the addition of the Badlands Bino Zipper
Case valued at $149.99 included, this makes for a pretty
sharp deal. These Badlands harnesses have been
around for a while now and have proven that if you
want to keep your binos secure and protected from
the elements, but still have them immediately on hand
to snap to the eye, they are well worth their weight in
gold. So, if you're looking for a sharp set of binos and the
bonus Badlands harness, all for a great price, it's very
hard to see past this combo for the upcoming roar.
